Bills’ Damar Hamlin Responds to Body Double Conspiracy

Damar Hamlin seemingly responded to absurd speculation about his return to Highmark Stadium for the Bills’ Divisional Round matchup with the Bengals on Sunday.

The Bills safety received a warm welcome from fans during the rematch with Cincinnati, which came 20 days after their Week 17 game was postponed and eventually cancelled after Hamlin suffered cardiac arrest on the field.

Hamlin, who watched the game from a private suite with his family, is being subjected to bizarre rumors that it wasn’t actually him at the game — although the Bills and the CBS broadcast showed him at the stadium.

On Monday, the 24-year-old, Hamlin took to Twitter to share a photo of himself standing alongside a mural of him in his Bills uniform with his hands in a heart-shape gesture.“Clone,” he wrote in his tweet, adding a ninja emoji.

It’s unclear if Hamlin’s tweet was a direct response to critics that questioned his presence and demeanor at the game.

The Pittsburgh native attended the game wearing a matching sweatsuit with his “Chasing Millions” logo on it, which is the name of his charity foundation that received millions in donations after his injury on Jan. 2.

Hamlin’s presence marked his first time back at a Bills game following his cardiac arrest on the field in Cincinnati.

The second-year safety was discharged from a Buffalo hospital on Jan. 11, following a week-long stay at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he was in critical condition and on a ventilator.

Hamlin, who is on injured reserve, has spent time with teammates at the Bills training facility as he continues his long road to recovery — which requires the use of oxygen and having his heart monitored regularly, according to his longtime friend and business partner, Jordon Rooney.
