The Phillies look destined to win a championship right now.

They are two wins away from winning a second straight National League pennant.

They had to get by the Braves to get here.

What an October it has been for Philly.

Braves GM Alex Anthopoulos joined Joel Sherman and Jon Heyman on “The Show” podcast to talk about their disappointing ending to the season.

‘The Show’ Podcast with Joel Sherman & Jon Heyman:

  • ALCS/NLCS: Phillies have dominated. Rangers’ 2-0 lead is a bit surprising, but that could change. Dave Dombrowski pushed all the right buttons with the players he signed and traded for.
  • KIM NG LEAVES MARLINS: She brought professionalism and made some great moves, taking the team to the playoffs for the first time in 20 years in a full season. Puzzling decision by the Marlins to want to hire someone with control above her.

  • BRAVES ELIMINATION: Phillies are a talented team and deserve credit for winning the series. It’s on the Braves to play better. Not a “crapshoot.”
  • OFFSEASON: Has not had much activity past few offseasons. What could they have done differently? What will do they do this offseason?
  • ORLANDO ARCIA: All that stuff is outside noise. Does not think it affects the players on the field.
